GALDEN D03 is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable liquid made from perfluorinated polyethers. Its dielectric properties, chemical and thermal stability, and heat transfer performance make it suitable for electronic testing applications.
Thermal Shock Testing
GALDEN D03 can be used as a single fluid for both hot and cold baths in non-military thermal shock testing. This testing process checks the resistance of electronic devices to extreme temperature changes by alternately immersing them in liquids maintained at different temperatures.
Using a single fluid for both baths helps reduce fluid consumption and equipment downtime, eliminates cross-contamination between different bath fluids, and reduces inventory to one product.
Hermetic Seal Testing
GALDEN D03 is also used as an indicator fluid for non-military hermetic seal testing. This process checks the sealing of electronic devices to help prevent moisture penetration that could affect their electrical performance.
Its high boiling point and low vapour pressure at the test temperature help reduce evaporative losses and fluid consumption.
