The KRYTOX 1506 Vacuum Pump Fluid from TMC Industries, supplied by Econtrol Devices, is developed for applications where conventional vacuum pump oils create safety, waste disposal, and maintenance concerns. This vacuum pump fluid is nonflammable, eliminating the chance of fire in pumps, and is non-reactive, making it safe for use in oxygen systems. It can replace competitive PFPE fluids as well as other types of vacuum pump fluids used in industrial applications. Unlike many conventional fluids, Krytox vacuum pump fluids do not contain acetal groups that are susceptible to attack by Lewis acids, providing superior stability in demanding vacuum environments. The fluid is precisely distilled to deliver low vapor pressure and reliable performance while also being recyclable.

Material Compatibility

KRYTOX vacuum pump fluids are inert and non-reactive with elastomers, plastics, and metals. Initial testing has shown compatibility with Teflon™ fluoroplastic resin, Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts, Viton™ fluoroelastomer, nitrile, and silicone rubbers. For Krytox XP products, the performance of soluble additives may degrade after long-term exposure to temperatures above 182°C (360°F).
