Econtrol Devices, an authorized distributor of TMC Industries products, offers TMC-367E Engineered Fluid, a precision cleaning solvent designed for industrial cleaning, electronic components, and vapor degreasing applications.

TMC-367E is a solvent blend containing 1,2-trans-dichloroethylene and proprietary fluorinated compounds. It is formulated without hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and is designed as an alternative to cleaning solvents such as 3M™ Novec™ 71DE, Chemours Vertrel™, n-propyl bromide (nPB), HCFC-225, and trichloroethylene (TCE).

The fluid has low viscosity, low VOC content relative to similar high-trans fluorinated solvent blends, and leaves zero surface residue. It is used for general cleaning and precision parts cleaning where compatibility with the materials being cleaned is important.

Key Features of TMC-367E Engineered Fluid

  • No Flash Point: The fluid exhibits no flash point under Pensky-Martens Closed Cup (ASTM D93) and Tag Closed Cup (ASTM D56) test methods.
  • Low Viscosity: TMC-367E is formulated with low viscosity for precision cleaning applications.
  • Low VOC Content: The solvent blend is designed to have lower volatile organic compound (VOC) content.
  • Zero Surface Residue: Listed as a key product feature by TMC Industries.
  • No HFCs: Formulated without hydrofluorocarbons.
  • Cleaning Solvent Alternative: Designed to replace solvents including 3M™ Novec™ 71DE, nPB, HCFC-225, and TCE.
  • Material Compatibility: Compatible with various polymers, elastomers, and metals used in precision parts manufacturing.

Applications of TMC-367E Engineered Fluid

TMC-367E is intended for cleaning and vapor degreasing applications.

  1. Precision Parts Cleaning: Used for cleaning precision components and parts manufactured from compatible materials.
  2. Electronics Cleaning:  Suitable for cleaning electronic components and parts where solvent compatibility is required.
  3. Vapor Degreasing:  Used as a vapor degreasing agent for precision parts and electronic components.
  4. General Industrial Cleaning: Formulated for general cleaning applications involving various contaminants.
  5. Hydrocarbon Soil Removal: TMC Industries describes its solvency for hydrocarbon soils as superior to most similar high-trans fluorinated solvent blends.
  6. Cleaning Contaminants: The manufacturer lists a broad cleaning capability for contaminants including adhesives, buffing compounds, drawing oils, hydraulic oils, greases, refrigerant oils, silicone oils, and waxes.
