The innovative machinery and devices used in modern and technologically advanced manufacturing plants are growing rapidly. The need for automation and controlling of the processes requires some additional components.

The impulse counters have become a necessary additive in industrial processes in which some task is repeated many times. Some tasks are automated in some applications or processes, but we still cannot determine the number of times they were completed. In some applications, the task needs to be stopped after a certain set of repetitions, but it can be difficult to determine the repetitions.

The GIC has introduced its impulse counter to resolve such issues, which can do all the aforementioned tasks and many more. Today we are covering the facts and uses of the GIC impulse counter!

What is an Impulse Counter?

Pulse counters are designed to count the set of repetitions in a fixed duration. In simple words, the impulse counter is a device that counts the number of times one specific task is being repeated. Each repetition is called one pulse, and several pulses or sets of pulses are recorded and saved using an impulse counter.

Many companies are making automation and control devices, and it is one of them. The GIC impulse counter is the best one available in the market, and it covers all the needs of automating the tasks. It is also best due to its high efficiency and flexibility. It is also a quality product that is cost-effective too, meaning it will not shake your budget for automating the task.

How Does Impulse Counter Work?

The counters work in a very simple manner. These are made to record the cycles and numbers using modern technology. It can be embedded with the PLC of the programmable logic controller or used separately by connecting with the PLC. It records every cycle of repetition and sends the data to the PLC for storing. It comes with an LED monitor to display the progress of the task.

There are different designs and working mechanisms of impulse counters, and based on the model or technology, you can choose resettable or non-resettable counters. Most common are the resettable ones, as, after a certain time or cycles of repletion, you can reset the value to zero, and it will start again.

Also, it has a limit. For example, the GIC CR series impulse counter has the maximum limit of counting to 6 digits. It also has other multiple functions. It can be used to switch operations that provide high accuracy of the repetitions.

Which is The Best Impulse Counter For Industrial Uses?

The GIC is making the best impulse counters meant to be used in rugged situations and working environments. The GIC has a range of impulse counters with different settings and specifications. Perfect for processes like cutting, positioning, and packaging operations.

It can count and calculate, and it also displays the length. It can record the time lapsed, or the number of repetitions has been done. It can compare the values and calculate the difference. It also displays the difference in ratio format with different output variables and control.

Applications and Use Cases of Impulse Counter

In laymen’s terms, there is only one primary and basic application of impulse counter: monitoring the display of the repetition and cycles of tasks. But there are several different use cases and processes for manufacturing processes where the GIC impulse counter can be used successfully. Let’s see its use cases:

It can e used to cut the cables, cloth, fabric, metal, or wood in specific lengths.

It is also used in a process that requires measured values and monitoring tolerance simultaneously.

It is very useful in acquiring measured values within defined limits.

Another use case can be measuring length and operations at calibrated installations.

How does Impulse Counter Improve The Process?

The counter-based maintenance is very useful for the long run as heavy types of machinery have greater downtime if not maintained properly. With impulse counter, you know how long the machine has run so when it is due for the upkeep.

It can reduce the load of the upkeep of large product selection for slow and fast counting operations. It makes the process versatile, and industry-specific applications can be fulfilled and completed in no time.

It has a broad selection of mechanical, electromechanical. And electronic features that is again best for the digital signals and one and two-channel encoder systems that most manufacturing units and other industries have.

It is very easy to install and convenient to operate, so a technician’s need is eliminated. It is reliable, has a long life, has robust performance, and makes your process cost-efficient. Also, it can retain the last value in case of power failure.

How to Buy the Best Impulse Counter?

You can easily find numerous online vendors and stores to buy GIC Impulse Counter, but the main challenge is to find authentic and genuine GIC products. If that is your concern, you do not need to wander more as we are the authorized distributor of GIC. And their entire range of products is always in our inventory. So we can support you in bulk requirements too.

Conclusion

The GIC impulse counter is one of the best additives you can introduce into the industrial process that will help to automate your process without spending too much money. You will be surprised to find the variety in impulse counters from GIC.
