High Bonding Thermal Tape for Heat Generating Components

Thermal interface materials or TIMS are used in creating thermal tape for heat sinks and VHB tape for heat dissipation in the electronic components. The heat conductive paths at interfaces between components reduce the thermal interface resistance. The TIM also provides thermal management solutions to keep the electronic devices. The VHB tape for heat dissipation is a thermal interface material (TIMs) that has an adhesive on one or both sides. The pressure-sensitive adhesives are typically used because they are very easy to apply and use. The thermal tape for Heat generating components is designed to move heat from a heat source to a heat sink. The thermal tapes also support and are available in various forms like die-cutting to conform well to the surfaces of different materials that aren’t smooth and flat. 

There are other types of thermal tapes like VHB tape for heat dissipation. This is a very high bond between the substrates and brings them together providing excellent bonding.

  • It has enhanced resistance to chemicals and it also is useful to be used in extremely unstable and high temperatures conditions and applications.
  • The thermal tapes can be combined with other types of cooling solutions like fans, heat spreaders, and heat pipes.

Unlike the screw and screwdriver, the thermal tape for heat-generating components can simply be peeled off and stick die-cut instead directly onto the surface layer. This will also save time in the manufacturing process and during product assembly time.
